burts bees replenishing lip balm

overall rating: 9/10
full product name: burts bees replenishing lip balm with pomegranate oil

i wasn't in love with burt's bees beeswax lip balm (it dried my lips out! and i'm not a huge fan of the minty, cooling effect) but because i really respect them for not testing on animals i try to use more of their products and this time i was not disappointed. it goes on smooth and thin (but you don't need a heavy layer) which makes it feel invisible on your lips. although it is tinted it goes on clear as far as i can see (but it does say it should give a hint of color, but i haven't noticed it).

it has a really refreshing pomegranate smell, not overly-sweet or sour it just smells like pomegranate. its also good to know that it doesn't have any sulfates, parabens or petrochemicals.
the ingredients are all natural but natural does not necessary mean environmentally friendly. to grow the plants they need land which may come from decreasing the size of a forest or taking over what was a natural habitat and ecosystem. an example is palm oil which is the main ingredient in many soaps. take a minute to read this piece from lush (the complete article is available by clicking on the link)
Palm oil plantations now cover vast swathes of land in Indonesia and Malaysia. Most of these plantations are in areas which were once covered in lush tropical rainforests. This conversion of forests to monoculture palm plantations has resulted in the loss of some of the most important ecosystems on the planet. Fires are deliberately lit to clear and prepare the land causing massive quantities of carbon to be released into the atmosphere, adding to the already serious global problem of climate change.

i must add that although natural products are not as ideal as companies try to make them look, they are still better them chemical products made in laboratories.

ingredients:
Ingredients: helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, cera alba (beeswax, cire d'abeille), cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, lanolin, aroma (flavor), punica granatum (pomegranate) oil, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza), carmine, benzyl salicylate, cinnamal, citral, eugenol, geraniol, hydroxycitronellal, limonene, linalool

so all in all i really liked this lip balm, it what it promised (hydrate and smoothen my lips) and i recommend it!
its too bad it doesn't have any spf ):

lastly something totally unrelated and irrelevant to lip balm or eco-friendly stuff...

this is just too weird. my two favorite actors who both stared my favorite film

look like freaking twins. god i miss you heath ): in five days it will be 29th month anniversary of his death. may he be resting in peace. so grateful we still have joseph gordon levitt! (if you do not know who joe is you need to see rent 500 days of summer!)
